for using LINA

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using LINA in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), together with our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use LINA.

LINA is an AI-powered e-learning platform developed to support Nigerian curriculum learning for learners from age 5 and above. Our core services include:

LINA is continuously developed. We reserve the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice, as we improve the platform.

To access LINA's full features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration
• Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
• Notify LINA immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

LINA is designed for learners aged 5 and above. Where a child is using the platform, the parent or legal guardian must:

• Actively supervise all usage sessions
• Manage the account setup and profile on behalf of the child
• Review and approve all subscription or payment decisions
• Ensure the child does not access inappropriate external content

You agree to use LINA only for its intended educational purpose. The following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Using LINA for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
• Attempting to hack, reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the system or its underlying infrastructure
• Uploading, transmitting, or distributing harmful, abusive, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Sharing account credentials or granting access to unauthorised third parties
• Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your identity
• Using automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the platform without written permission

LINA uses artificial intelligence to generate learning materials, explanations, practice questions, and feedback personalised to each learner's progress.

Users — especially parents and guardians — are encouraged to verify critical academic information against official Nigerian curriculum materials, textbooks, or qualified educators. LINA should be treated as a learning aid, not the sole authoritative source for academic study.

Access to certain features of LINA requires a paid subscription. The following terms apply to all purchases:

LINA reserves the right to modify pricing and subscription plans. Any changes will be communicated in advance within the app.

All content available on LINA — including but not limited to lessons, quizzes, AI-generated explanations, curriculum structures, text, graphics, interface design, logos, and software — is the exclusive intellectual property of LINA or its licensed content partners.

• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any LINA content without prior written permission
• Accessing content for personal, non-commercial educational use is permitted under an active subscription
• Unauthorised use of LINA's intellectual property may result in legal action

LINA strives to maintain a reliable and high-availability platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the service at all times.

Service interruptions may occur due to:

• Scheduled maintenance and system upgrades
• Network outages or internet connectivity issues
• Failures by third-party service providers (e.g. cloud infrastructure, AI providers)
• Force majeure events beyond LINA's reasonable control

We will make reasonable efforts to minimise downtime and to notify users of planned maintenance in advance.

Your use of LINA is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains in detail:

• What personal data we collect from you and your child
• How we use, store, and protect that data
• Under what circumstances we may share information with third parties
• Your rights regarding your personal data

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Nigerian law, LINA and its officers, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• A learner's academic performance or examination results
• Decisions made by users based on AI-generated content
• Loss of data resulting from user negligence or device failure
• Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind
• Unauthorised access to your account resulting from failure to secure your credentials

LINA reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account, with or without notice, in the following circumstances:

• Breach of any provision of these Terms
• Detection of fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Non-payment of applicable subscription fees
• Conduct deemed harmful to the LINA community or platform integrity

Upon termination, your access to the platform and all associated data will be revoked. LINA will not be liable for any losses resulting from the suspension or termination of an account for cause.

LINA may revise and update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services, or our policies. We will notify users of material changes via:

• In-app notifications or banners
• Email communication to your registered address

Your continued use of LINA after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using LINA.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith resolution between the parties. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Lagos, Nigeria.
